A healing art from ancient tradition.

Jin Shin Jyutsu® (pronounced "jin shin jitsu") is a gentle art of healing from ancient tradition that works with energy pathways feeding life to all the cells in the body.

One or more of these pathways may become weakened or blocked, leading to imbalance of physical, mental and/or emotional well-being.

Sessions:

Jin Shin Jyutsu® sessions last approximately one hour with the client resting comfortably, fully clothed, on his or her back.  The practitioner "listens" to the wrist pulses which reveal what area needs help or strengthening.

This information directs the practitioner to gently place hands along key locations on the body to clear the energy pathways of accumulated stress and tension, thus providing an atmosphere for the body to regain harmony.

Part II (prerequisite: Part I) introduces the 12 organ flows, listening to pulses, the Special Body Flows and how these contribute to harmonizing body, mind and spirit.

After attendance of one full seminar, a certificate of completion is issued. Upon completion of three 5-day Basic Seminars, a second certificate is issued, certifying that 105 hours of class time has been taken.

About the Instructor:  “Ian Harris spent years exploring the universe through many forms of music, Eastern Philosophy, meditation, yoga and bicycle riding.  In 1983, in New York City, he began studying Jin Shin Jyutsu – Physio-Philosophy with Mary Burmeister, finding the thread (Now Know Myself) which tied all the other pursuits together.  Ian also studied massage therapy, which included the studies of anatomy and physiology, in order to deepen his understanding of the human body and its functions from a western point of view. He has been practicing Jin Shin Jyutsu for 24 years, six of those as a member of the staff at the Jin Shin Jyutsu Office in Scottsdale, Arizona. There he continued studying while in the presence of Mary and her many long time students. Ian has been presenting this five day seminar since 2000.  Initially attracted by the simplicity of Jin Shin Jyutsu and straightforward approach of Mary, Ian aims to bring these qualities to the seminars so that everyone can relax and have fun while learning this universal Art.”
